Tapuika Reo Whakarauora Mahere / Tapuika Reo Revitalisation strategy

In 2013 Tapuika embarked on a journey seeking to revitalise Te Reo Tuturu o Tapuika. With the support of Te Taurawhiri i te Reo who at the time were instrumental in supporting our initial efforts to establish a Tapuika Reo Revitalisation strategy

And more recently with the support of Te Mātāwai, the Tapuika Iwi Development Trust has taken responsibility to ensure Te Reo is taken out to the whānau, Hapū and Iwi.

The Vision is to support our Hapū to develop their capacity and capability, to practice their Tikanga and kawa, increase the number of Tapuika dialect Reo Speakers and to improve the quality of Tapuika Reo Tikanga and Kawa on the Marae through improved participation in Karanga, Whaikōrero me ngā waiata tāwhito Mōteatea.

For all enquiries concerning the revitalisation of Tapuika Reo, please email ako@tapuika.iwi.nz
