MATARIKI WHĀNGAI I TE HAUTAPU CEREMONY
Arrive from 5:00am onwards on the maunga – roughly 11km up Rangiuru Road (from Te Puke). We encourage whānau to carpool as there is limited parking space on the maunga. The gate will close promptly at 5:40am.
Follow the traffic cones and traffic warden's instructions for parking – drive carefully as it may be slippery.
Parents - Please keep your tamariki close and safe around the fire.
Torches to be turned off during hautapu ceremony.
STAY CLEAR OF THE NEWLY PLANTED TREES.
Breakfast at Makahae Marae (Te Kahika Road) following the ceremony at approximately 7:00am.
