Tapuika Reo Whakarauora Mahere / Tapuika Reo Revitalisation strategy

In 2013 Tapuika embarked on a journey seeking to revitalise Te Reo Tuturu o Tapuika. With the support of Te Taurawhiri ite Reo who at the time were instrumental in supporting our initial efforts to establish a Tapuika Reo Revitalisation strategy

And more recently with the support of Te Matawai the Tapuika Iwi Development Trust is taking responsibility to ensure Te Reo is taken to the whanau hapu and Iwi.

The Vision is to support hapu to develop their capacity and capability, to practice their Tikanga and kawa and increase the number of Tapuika Reo Speakers and to improve the quality of Tapuika Reo Tikanga and Kawa on the Marae through improved participation in Karanga, Whaikorero me Nga Waiata Moteatea.
