MAXIMISING POTENTIAL EDUCATION GRANTS

The Tapuika Fisheries Trust's goal is to support Tapuika members into skilled employment by maxzimizing their potential through contributing to members Education.

Eligibility requirements include the following:

Undergraduate Studies:

- Funding is for Year 2 and Year 3 fulltime tertiary or vocational studies only

- Confirmation of acceptance for fulltime study at a New Zealand tertiary or polytechnic institution must accompany the application

- Applicants must have been enrolled on the Tapuika Iwi Register prior to 01 December 2018

- Photo identification ( passport, drivers License ) and bank account details must be included with the completed application form

Post Graduate Scholarships:

This year the Tapuika Fisheries Trust is funding two (2) Post Graduate scholarships of $5000 each for Tapuika members undertaking fulltime post graduate studies at Year 2 or more at a New Zealand tertiary or polytechnic institution. Eligibility requirements for the Scholarship include:

- Confirmation of acceptance for fulltime post graduate study at Year 2 or more at New Zealand tertiary or polytechnic institution must accompany the application

- Applicants must have been enrolled on the Tapuika Iwi Register prior to 01 December 2018

- Photo identification ( passport, drivers License ) and bank account details must be included with the completed application form

Applicants for the Maximizing Potential Education Grants and the Tapuika Post Graduate close on Friday 01 March 2019
 

Students who received an education grant in the last funding round will need to provide a B Grade pass average to successfully re-apply for an education grant. 


How to Apply

First, please ensure that you are an registered iwi member of the Tapuika Iwi Authority – If you are unsure then call 0800 TAPUIKA          ( 0800 8278 452 ) to check your details.

Once your Registration has been verified and you have been notified that you are a registered iwi member of the Tapuika Iwi Authority, then download the application form below, complete and send it back to us with your supporting documentation. Failure to provide the required information (with attachments) will result in the application being declined

Tapuika Fisheries Trust open funding rounds once a year at the beginning of each year.
