TAURAHERE TRUSTEE NOMINATION RESULTS
Nominations opened on Monday 9th May and closed on Monday 23rd May. Five valid nominations were received as per below.
In accordance with the Second Schedule s16.3 of the Tapuika Iwi Authority Deed of Trust and the Second Schedule of s6.3 of the Tapuika Fisheries Trust Deed of Trust where the number of nominations received equal the number of vacancies an election is not necessary. However where the nominations received exceed the number of vacancies to be filled, then an election shall be called.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following nominations were received for Taurahere trustees on the Tapuika Iwi Authority and the Tapuika Fisheries Trust:
Northern North Island: One (1) Taurahere Trustee vacancy
The following nomination was received:
Witeri Kane WILLIAMS
The number of nominations received (1) was equal to the number of vacancies (1) available making an election not necessary.
Therefore Witeri Williams is appointed as the Northern North Island Taurahere Trustee to the Tapuika Iwi Authority and the Tapuika Fisheries Trust for a term of 3 years.
Central and Lower North Island: One (1) Taurahere Trustee vacancy
The following nominations were received:

Bronwyn WILSON-HOKIANGA *WITHDRAWN
Aroha BECK
The number of nominations received (3) exceeded the number of vacancies to be filled (1). Therefore an election shall be held to elect one (1) Central and Lower North Island Taurahere Trustee to the Tapuika Iwi Authority and the Tapuika Fisheries Trust for a term of 3 years.
*Note: Bronwyn Wilson Hokianga has since withdrawn their nomination.
South Island: One (1) Taurahere Trustee vacancy
The following nomination was received:
Katie Louise LE ROUX
The number of nominations received (1) was equal to the number of vacancies (1) available making an election not necessary.
Therefore Katie Le Roux is appointed as the South Island Taurahere Trustee to the Tapuika Iwi Authority and the Tapuika Fisheries Trust for a term of 3 years.
*Note: Spelling error of nominee's surname Le Roux has been corrected since publishing.
VOTING
Voting papers for the Central and Lower North Island Taurahere election will be sent out in the mail. Please ensure your current contact details are correct.
The closing date of the election will be 13th August 2022 with voting papers to be sent in due course.
*Please note: Only those members registered as residing in the Central and Lower North Island region, at the date upon which nominations for appointment closed (23 May 2022) will be eligible to vote.
